WELCOMING YOU OUR HISTORY!

The Pro-Cathedral of The Good Shepherd Anglican Church Austin has been present in Austin since 2012. Originally the church started as a house fellowship/mission and moved from house to house until we moved into its first worship location in 2014.

Over the years, several ordained priests and lay church officials have visited and presided over the church worship until the Bishop upgraded the church to a parish status with a Rector as the official spiritual head of the parish. In 2023, the Bishop upgraded the parish as the official Pro-Cathedral of the diocese with the Provost as the official spiritual head of the Pro-Cathedral church.

Upon Arrival

When you first walk in, you will be met by Ushers/People’s Warden. They will welcome you with a Sunday Bulletin/Leaflet and ask you your name.

Service

The Sunday Worship starts 11:00 am – there are Hymns, Music and a Sermon.

During the Week

We have our Bible Study, each week on a Tuesday at 7:00pm

Sunday Bulletin

This will allow you to feel fully present and engaged in your worship experience. There will be no need to flip through books, looking for pages or wondering what part of the service you are in! The only book you will need is the Hymn book. The Sunday Bulletin also contains contact information and current events in the Parish.

After the Service

This is a time to socialize with other members of the parish and get to know new people. We gather in the Hall for tea, coffee and refreshment.

Engaging in the Parish

Your time is valuable to you and also to us. We would be delighted to hear from you to make sure that you are comfortable with how you are engaging with the Parish.
